I love educated patients who have done research online but so often the internet can provide inaccurate information but make it sound convincing.
According to a recent article(see below link) it discusses a recent lawsuit filed against ChatGPT for giving misleading medical advice. As a provider, we use research and apply evidence based treatment for your care. The article hopefully, makes you aware of the downfalls of AI information that is not evidence based.

“Patients need to remember that AI tools aren't a replacement for a medical professional, the AMA says, and not meant for medical emergencies.

The AMA suggests crafting more direct prompts for an AI chatbot about a basic medical question. Use them to learn, not to diagnose, the AMA says, or to simplify information with a prompt like, "Explain this to me in simple words" to better understand a medical term or doctor's diagnosis.”
