I believe healthcare works best when it’s built on an actual two-sided relationship, not just a quick, transactional visit. Recently, it has become increasing obvious to me that the best outcomes rarely come from ordering fancy tests or adding complexity. They come from taking the time to look at the whole picture, having honest conversations, and ultimately shared decision making.
Modern medicine pushes speed and volume, but the foundation of good care hasn’t changed: a doctor who truly knows their patient, and a patient who feels heard. I wrote down some thoughts on why relationship-centered primary care isn't just a nice idea, but actually essential for long-term health.
