🥳🙌🏽🎉 Proud mama moment! 🏆💙🏈

My son was just named Times Union Boys Athlete of the Week!

Watching you put in the early mornings, the extra reps, and the sacrifices when nobody was watching has been an honor. This is proof that hard work pays off. Keep working, keep believing, and stay humble.

I am so proud of you, son. This is only the beginning. 🙌🏾

Mandarin's Jace Kemp has been voted the Times-Union Boys Athlete of the Week in Jacksonville-area high school sports for Oct. 5-10, 2026. See link below ⬇️

🚨 What if everything we’ve been taught about obesity is only part of the story?

This week, I’m in Boston, MA, attending the World Obesity and Weight Management Congress 2026

Obesity is about so much more than what we eat or how much we weigh. The more we learn, the more we realize how important it is to move beyond judgment and toward evidence-based care, compassion, and better solutions. ❤️

💬 What’s one thing you wish more people understood about obesity? Let’s also talk in the comments! And if you started working out today, comment MONDAY!

✈️ I’m traveling to speak at the World Obesity and Weight Management Congress in Boston and should have flown out last night, but I couldn’t miss celebrating my girl Melanie at the first of many birthday celebrations with her! She deserves all the love being poured into her!! An advocate for all, she is a true example of letting your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works AND glorify your Father which is in Heaven.
- MATTHEW 5:16✨Now as for the conference, what I’m most excited about is learning from global experts, exploring emerging research, and discovering innovative strategies I can bring back to my practice, my patients, and our community.

Because being a physician isn’t just about what we already know it’s about remaining curious, continuing to learn and turning knowledge into better care.

My mission remains the same: EDUCATE. ADVOCATE. EMPOWER. Whether we’re talking about menopause, obesity, or the many factors that shape women’s health, every woman deserves to be heard, respected, and supported at every stage of life.

Here’s to breaking stigma, advancing science, and making healthcare better for EVERYBODY. 💜 Celebrations first! 🥳 Cheers to more years! 🥂Menopause Matters! 🧐Praying for safe travels🙏🏽

Can one cup of blueberries a day support your vascular health?

A six-month randomized controlled trial involving 115 adults with metabolic syndrome found that the equivalent of one cup of blueberries daily improved two measures of vascular function: the ability of blood vessels to widen and a measure of arterial stiffness.

Interestingly, the half-cup group did not experience the same benefits. These findings are promising, although more research is needed to understand the broader health implications.

Acetic acid (the main compound in vinegar) temporarily slows down gastric emptying and blocks the enzymes that break down starches into glucose. This leads to a smoother, lower glucose response and helps prevent post-meal slumps.

Why it works:

✅ Blunts Glucose Spikes: Reduces post-meal blood sugar surges by up to 30%.
✅ Curbs Cravings: Helps you feel fuller longer by slowing down digestion.
✅ Sustains Energy: Prevents the dreaded afternoon brain fog and fatigue.

🎯 Your goal today: Dilute 1 tablespoon of apple c***r vinegar (or any kitchen vinegar) in a glass of water and drink it 10–15 minutes before lunch or dinner!

Just stopping by your feed with a quick question today: Do you know your BMI? 🩺

And more importantly... do you actually know what that number means for your body and your health?
