Riverside Post Acute invites you to join us on Tuesday, September 8th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM for our Dementia Caregiver Support Group in partnership with Haven Hospice Dementia Care Program.

This month’s discussion will focus on safety at home, including fall prevention, medication management, and emergency planning.

Music, movement, and meaningful connection filled Riverside Post Acute when the Harmony Dancers visited our residents.

The afternoon began with a special devotional featuring song and scripture, followed by warm conversation and an entertaining lineup of line dances. The music brought smiles, sparked fond memories, and even inspired a little movement from their seats.

When Ms. Harrison learned that her care team was making rounds, she decided to meet them halfway, a fitting celebration of how far her walking has progressed!

Ms. Harrison chose Riverside Post Acute for its cardiac rehab and pulmonary rehab programs. She thanks Christopher Basco, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC; Samantha Flanders, Director of Rehabilitation; Dr. Dany Hajjar, Physiatrist; and Terry Williams, Specialty Program Director, for supporting her as she works toward her goals.

Now, she is getting closer to home and already looking forward to a train ride back to New York City, with a quick stop in Atlantic City. As Ms. Harrison says, “I’m still young, and I have a lot more living to do, thanks to Riverside Post Acute.”

We are proudly celebrating Ms. Mary Ann Carter as she graduates from Riverside Post Acute’s cardiac rehabilitation program!

She met all of her recovery goals and received a roomful of applause during her celebratory clap-out.

Our American Heart Association Heart Failure Certified CardioPro program combines personalized rehabilitation, targeted therapy, cardiac monitoring, education, and nutrition guidance to help patients regain strength, energy, and independence.

Ms. Carter thanked our amazing team for the great care she received, especially Specialty Program Director Terry Williams and PM&R physician Dr. Dany Hajjar. Now, she is all smiles and looking forward to returning home, enjoying a favorite home-cooked meal and dessert, and relaxing with her favorite classic Westerns.

Congratulations, Ms. Carter. Here’s to stronger tomorrows!

Riverside Post Acute and Community Hospice & Palliative Care invite caregivers to a support group focused on Adjusting to the Transition After Placement. Share experiences, explore ways to manage difficult emotions, and connect with others who understand. Whether this transition is new or you have been on this journey for a while, you are welcome here.

Meet Joann Bellas, who chose Riverside Post Acute for rehabilitation following hospitalization and surgery for a left hip fracture.

Through Riverside’s orthopedic rehabilitation program, Joann received customized support from a multidisciplinary, physiatrist-led team. Coordinated physical and occupational therapy helped her rebuild strength and mobility while working toward greater independence and a safe return home. She is especially grateful to PTA Jamiece Barber and OTA Lois Biber for helping her get back on her feet.

Joann’s stay also allowed her to remain connected to her faith. As a parishioner of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, she valued the opportunity to attend Mass at Riverside during her recovery.

Now, Joann is looking forward to returning home and rejoining her church community. Joann, it has been our privilege to support your recovery. We wish you continued strength and healing in the days ahead.
