Happy Labor Day from ThriveMD Wellness! 🇺🇸

08/31/2026

Heading to a Labor Day cookout or family gathering this weekend? 🍔🥗

It’s easy to feel like holiday events derail your daily momentum, but staying on track doesn’t mean eating plain lettuce while everyone else enjoys the grill.

A simple technique backed by nutritional research is food sequencing:

Eat your protein and greens first: Grilled chicken, burgers, shrimp, and salads provide steady fuel and trigger natural fullness signals.

Enjoy sides and treats at the end: Having potato salad, chips, or dessert after your protein prevents that heavy, sluggish post-meal feeling.

Use the 1-to-1 drink rule: Alternate social drinks with cold water or mineral water to stay ahead of the Florida heat.

Enjoy the holiday weekend, focus on the people around you, and savor your meals!

Drinking plenty of water in the August heat—but still experiencing muscle cramps, fatigue, or a head rush when you stand? 🍋💧

You may need to look beyond your total ounces.

Hydration depends on the balance between water and electrolytes. While GLP-1 medications do not automatically “flush” minerals from your kidneys, they can indirectly make maintaining that balance more difficult:

⚡ Reduced appetite can mean eating less sodium, potassium, and magnesium.

💧 Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea can cause additional fluid and electrolyte losses.

☀️ Heat, exercise, and increased sweating raise your hydration needs even more.

🚰 Drinking excessive amounts of plain water very quickly does not necessarily replace everything your body has lost—and, in rare cases, can dilute blood sodium too much.

Try our simple Citrus Mineral Refresher: mix 16–20 oz of water with True Lemon or fresh lemon, a small pinch of table salt, and stevia or monk fruit to taste. Sip gradually and pair it with balanced meals throughout the day.

Your body does not simply need more water—it needs the right balance. Persistent dizziness, fainting, confusion, vomiting, diarrhea, or severe muscle cramps should be discussed with your healthcare provider.

Lost 20, 30, or 40+ pounds—but your knees still crunch?

Weight loss reduces stress on your joints, but your muscles, tendons, and movement patterns may need time to adapt—especially if you’re moving more than before.

BPC-157 and TB-500 are being studied for possible roles in tissue recovery, but human research remains limited. The strongest foundation for healthy movement is still:

🥩 Adequate protein
💧 Consistent hydration
🚶 Gentle movement and strength training
😴 Quality recovery

Joint noise isn’t always a sign of damage, but pain, swelling, locking, or instability should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

For educational purposes only. BPC-157 and TB-500 are not FDA-approved treatments for joint pain or tissue repair.

Hitting that 3 PM wall on a GLP-1? 🥱⚡️

When your appetite is lower, it can be easy to unintentionally under-eat, under-hydrate, or miss the nutrients your body needs to stay energized throughout the day.

Before reaching for another coffee, check the basics:

💧 Hydrate intentionally
🥗 Anchor lunch with protein + balanced nutrition
😴 Prioritize sleep & recovery
⚡️ Make sure you’re fueling enough

The goal isn’t just to eat less — it’s to support fat loss while still feeling strong, nourished, and energized.

Habits build the foundation. 🌿

Ever found yourself standing in front of the pantry at the end of a long day, looking for a snack… even though you aren’t actually hungry? 🌿

Take a deep breath and let go of the guilt.

Emotional cravings aren’t a lack of willpower—they’re often your nervous system asking for comfort, connection, or rest.

The next time a craving pops up, try a simple 60-second HALT check-in:

🌿 H – Hungry? If your body truly needs fuel, enjoy a balanced, nourishing snack.

💛 A – Anxious? Pause for three slow, deep breaths or step outside for a few minutes.

🤍 L – Lonely? Reach out to a friend, loved one, or someone who helps you feel supported.

🌙 T – Tired? Sometimes your body needs sleep, not another trip to the pantry.

Learning to pause before reacting helps you build awareness—not restriction. Over time, those small moments of mindfulness can strengthen your relationship with food and help you better understand what your body is really asking for.

✨ If emotional eating is something you struggle with, know that you’re not alone. Small, compassionate changes often make the biggest difference.

Are you “eating healthy” but still not seeing the scale move? 👀

The problem may not be what you’re eating—it’s how often you’re eating.

Many people on a medical weight loss journey fall into the habit of constant grazing: handfuls of nuts, bites here and there, protein bars, smoothies, coffees, and “healthy” snacks throughout the day.

While those choices may seem harmless, they can make it harder to manage hunger, hit protein goals, and create the structure your body needs for sustainable fat loss.

Instead of all-day snacking, focus on:
✅ Prioritizing protein at meals
✅ Creating intentional eating windows
✅ Staying hydrated
✅ Letting your meals actually keep you full

Small changes in meal timing can make a big difference in your results.

💬 Are you a meal eater or a grazer? Let us know below!
