There is something for every age at Koi-B this week.

Our Nature and Wild Creators Camp invites children to explore the outdoors through art, creativity, and hands-on discovery. Families may enroll for individual days or the full week.

In addition to camp, we will be offering our regular drop-in creative hours and weekly classes.

We look forward to welcoming new and returning families as we learn, create, and grow together.

For the last several months, I've been praying about how to create a space where women can truly connect, encourage one another, and grow together in Christ.

As a military spouse, mother, educator, counselor, and former farm owner, I've walked through many different seasons of life. (It is almost comical.) I've experienced deployments, homeschooling, raising children, building a business, caring for a home, and trying to balance all the things God has entrusted to me.

One thing I've learned is that women really need community. I really need community.

We need a place to talk about faith, family, wellness, motherhood, homeschooling, military life, healthy living, and the everyday joys and challenges of caring for those we love.

For years, I made many of our family's products from scratch on our farm in Florida. Creating healthier options for my children became a passion of mine, and recently I've felt God nudging me back toward those roots, not just for my own family, but as a way to gather and encourage other women.

I have decided to start with a once-per-month fellowship, we shall call it, "The Well."

The Well is a Christ-centered fellowship where women can gather to be refreshed, encouraged, and equipped. We'll share coffee, conversation, Bible journaling, prayer, practical skills, wellness topics, and real-life encouragement for every season of life.

Our first gathering will be a special Founding Fellowship Event where we'll make homemade sunscreen and sunscreen chapstick while discussing faith, stewardship, wellness, family rhythms, and Christ-centered living.

❤️ BUY A SEAT AT THE TABLE ❤️

If we're being honest, asking for help doesn't come naturally to us.

As a nonprofit, we've always done our best to stretch every dollar, roll up our sleeves, and create meaningful opportunities for the children and families we serve. But as Koi-B continues to grow, we're finding ourselves in a season where we simply can't do it all alone.

This summer, we're preparing to launch new programs in art, music, movement, and community enrichment. As our center grows, we're also realizing the need for more open floor space and more efficient workspaces that better serve our students.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Lowe's Community Partners, our flooring will be replaced during the first week of July. If you've seen photos of our janky floors, well... that's what years of creativity, hard work, and lots of little feet look like. 😝

Now we're hoping to take one more step forward.

Our goal is to replace our current tables with 5 round tables featuring built-in storage and seating for 25 children. These tables will create welcoming spaces for conversation, collaboration, creativity, and connection while giving us the flexibility we need for new dance, movement, and music programs.

The truth is, expenses are mounting as we prepare for this next season of growth. At the same time, we're committed to continuing our scholarship opportunities for families who need them. We never want improvements to our space or new programs to come at the expense of the children who rely on those opportunities.

At Koi-B, a seat at the table is more than a chair.

🎨 A place to create.
🤝 A place to connect.
💡 A place to learn.
❤️ A place to belong.

If Koi-B has impacted your family, your child, or our community, would you consider helping us provide 25 seats around 5 new community tables?

Every gift makes a difference.

Together, we're making room for more kids, more creativity, more movement, more connection, and more belonging.

Everyday, I try to find something different that I am thankful for at the center. It keeps me centered in my purpose. Today, it was clear. We had so many new friends who joined our crew. Several of them were having a bit of a tough day and their parents were concerned that it may not be the best day to try something new. Being a small operation owned by a helicopter Mom- I know the importance of checking in. Updates were sent and the kids proved that it actually WAS the best day to try something new!
What we tried:
Homemade Coca Cola (recipe in comments)
Watercolor resist
Boom-wackers
Handbells
Cartwheels
Back handsprings
Splits
Should have tried ice and maybe alternating heat-but I’ve still got it…
and we made new friends!

Thank you for trusting me with your kids- it’s a blessing to me and to my kids to be surrounded by such incredible people. Building this community is such a priceless gift. 🩷

Have a wonderful weekend! See y’all next week!
