Do you get a little anxious around the holidays or any social event when you’re trying to eat healthy? You’re not alone.
Hi, I’m Keith. I’m a 7-year cancer survivor. I studied over 4,000 clinical papers on epigenetics after my oncologist told me prevention wasn’t his area. Along the way all five of my other chronic illnesses reversed. Even now, parties can still feel uncomfortable when the food options are mostly refined carbs and heavy cheeses.
Simple strategy: try to get some protein or a salad in first. It helps blunt the glucose spike. While you’re sitting or standing, gently raise and lower your heels about 50 times — most people won’t notice and it helps move sugar into your muscles. Or bring a small bag of celery and carrots as a backup.
Small steps make a big difference.

Most people watch for sugar. Maltodextrin has a higher glycemic index and can raise blood sugar faster. It also shows up in many processed foods and even in some creams, lotions, shampoo, and makeup.

Are you preparing for flu season properly?
Six everyday factors that can weaken immune defenses: sugar and ultraprocessed food, poor sleep, chronic stress, too little or too much exercise, an unhealthy gut, and low nutrient levels. Small improvements in each area add up.

A modeling study shows vitamin C can slow the formation of certain compounds from nitrates and nitrites in the stomach. Some healthy high-nitrate foods (celery, radish, iceberg lettuce, carrots) have little vitamin C. Pairing them with vitamin-C-rich greens may help. The same missing vitamin C helps explain the stronger cancer link with processed meats.

What diet lowers blood pressure the most? The original DASH trial showed that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and low-fat dairy, with lower saturated fat, lowered blood pressure more than a typical American diet — even when sodium and weight stayed the same. In people with hypertension the drop was larger still.

A 30-day smartphone mindfulness program reduced activity of the pro-inflammatory NF-κB pathway in stressed adults compared with an active control. Both groups felt less stressed, but only mindfulness shifted the gene expression pattern linked to inflammation.

Drinking about 17 ounces of water raised metabolic rate by roughly 30 percent in a controlled study. A follow-up trial in overweight women found that adding 1.5 liters of water a day before meals for eight weeks produced measurable drops in weight and body composition scores. Modest, but real.

Projections are that new cancer cases could rise to nearly 35 million a year by 2050. Nearly four in ten cases are now linked to preventable factors. Prevention is not optional. Blue World Health focuses on the lifestyle and metabolic drivers that influence long-term risk, with structured support so the changes stick.

Do you think our soil is depleted?
Everyone talks about how the soil is depleted and that’s why our vegetables have fewer nutrients. The research points to a much differnt cause
Hi, I’m Keith. I’m a 7-year cancer survivor. I studied over 4,000 clinical papers on epigenetics to learn how to keep the cancer from coming back. When I put that knowledge into practice, all five of my chronic illnesses reversed. Now I’m here to walk the walk with you on your road to better health.
A study compared USDA food composition data for 43 garden crops between 1950 and 1999. As a group, six nutrients showed apparent declines: protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, riboflavin, and vitamin C. The drops ranged from about 6% for protein up to 38% for riboflavin. Seven other nutrients showed no significant change.
But the authors did not point to depleted soil as the main cause. They showed that the most likely explanation is changes in the varieties of crops being grown. Plant breeds are increasingly bening selected for higher yield, faster growth, and other factors. When you push plants to grow bigger and faster, nutrient concentration can drop. And the problem with soil testing over the decades is that it a very localized problem and can vary year to year based on things even like weather.
We research the research, filter out the bias, and if you’d like, we coach you one-on-one so the changes actually stick.
I’m Keith with Blue World Health..
