All Mathiesen Memorial Health Clinics will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans throughout our nation's history.

June is Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month.

Taking care of your brain is an important part of your overall health. Here are a few ways to help keep your brain healthy:

• Get Moving – Regular physical activity helps increase blood flow to the brain and body. Walking, dancing, gardening, and other activities all count.

• Protect Your Head – Wear a helmet when biking, buckle your seatbelt, and take steps to prevent falls.

• Be Smoke-Free – Quitting smoking may help reduce the risk of cognitive decline. It's never too late to quit.

• Sleep Well – Quality sleep supports brain health. Create a comfortable sleep environment and speak with your provider if you have concerns such as sleep apnea.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to recognize the importance of emotional wellness and access to compassionate mental health care.

In honor of this month, it is our pleasure to introduce Daryle Yount, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who has joined our Wellness Center team! Daryle brings extensive experience providing mental health services to local youth ages 11 and older, as well as adults within our community.

This month serves as an important reminder that support is available; healing is possible, and no one has to face their struggles alone.

🦷 The Dental Van is coming to Jamestown 🦷

Free dental services for all ages will be available July 13–14 at 18141 Main Street
Jamestown, CA 95327.

Services include exams, cleanings, fillings, sealants, fluoride varnish, X-rays, and select non-surgical extractions.
