This month’s yin pose: Frog

Frog pose can teach patience quickly.

It’s a posture that asks for softness and steadiness at the same time, especially through the hips, inner thighs, and nervous system. The goal isn’t to force depth. It’s to find an edge that allows the body time to gradually respond.

Yin is not restorative yoga. We’re not trying to “achieve” a pose or push flexibility. Instead, we use stillness, breath, and sustainable sensation to work with the deeper connective tissues of the body.

Sometimes support helps the body soften.
Sometimes less support creates the sensation needed for the body to respond.

This monthly yin pose post offers a closer look into the teaching style and approach used in Whole-Being classes and yoga series.

Slow holds.
Intentional sensation.
Nervous system awareness.
Learning how to stay present within the experience.
