Tonight, I gave myself the same gift I offer others.

No expectations. No agenda. No proving. No performing.

Just stillness.

I laid on the table, took a deep breath, and within moments felt my body soften.

My heart slowed.

My nervous system settled.

And then Digs showed up.

Not because I called him. Not because I asked him to.

Because horses know.

They feel what words cannot explain.

Tonight reminded me that healing doesn't always come from doing more.

Sometimes it comes from allowing yourself to receive.

I went out to check on my boys after a round of severe storms this afternoon.

I was feeling a bit, so I decided to ground in with them for a few.

Last night, I sat in the pasture as the sun began to set, carrying emotions I hadn't fully processed yet.

I didn't need advice.

I didn't need answers.

I didn't need to explain my story.

I just needed space.

The horses met me exactly where I was.

They let me cry.

They let me feel.

They let me be completely myself.

And somewhere between the silence, the soft nudges, and the steady presence of these beautiful souls, my nervous system remembered what safety felt like.

Healing doesn't always happen through words.

Sometimes it happens when you're simply held.
