Tank Fire update from Glenpool

🚨 UPDATE: TANK FIRE NEAR HIGHWAY 75 & 126TH STREET

Crews continue working to contain the fire. Three tanks are now involved, and responding agencies are focused on preventing the fire from spreading beyond those tanks.

Smoke from the fire remains extensive but is currently staying mostly above the community. However, conditions may change as winds shift following this morning’s storm.

Air monitoring is underway throughout Glenpool, and no concerning readings have been reported at this time.

Glenpool Fire Chief Paul Newton recommends that residents in the general Glenpool area remain indoors when possible and limit outdoor exposure while the fire remains active. This is not an official shelter-in-place order, but a precautionary recommendation for residents.

The fire is expected to continue burning for at least several more hours.

We will continue to provide updates with additional information if conditions change.

Sad news today. It appears that lightning has struck the oil tank farm in Glenpool.
Be aware there will likely be disruptions to travel in the area.

Why can’t we be friends?!?

You may see a sign or a flyer around the store this month for Gentner Drummond for Governor. I’d like to explain why.
As AG Drummond has fought for your right to choose pharmacy and to stop the giant out of state PBMs from driving the competition out of business to force you to use them.
I understand we all won’t agree, but I value each and every one of you as people and I think we can still be friends after the election is all over.
