One week of CIMT. A lifetime of opportunities to practice at home.

Owen joined us for a one-week Baby CIMT intensive designed not only to help him use his weaker arm, but also to teach his parents how to continue building those skills every day at home.

During the week, we focused on:

• weight bearing through the affected arm
• reaching and activation
• hand use through play
• motor learning through repetition

What looks like simple play is actually helping build important foundations for future movement and function.

One week can make a difference.

But empowering parents to continue the work at home is where the real magic happens. 💛

During CIMT, we use songs, play, repetition, and movement based activities to help children build strength, coordination, confidence, and functional use of their affected arm.

Kids learn best when therapy feels engaging, meaningful, and fun. 💛

Before CIMT, Roczen avoided using his affected arm for many everyday movements.
Now?

He is using it for gestures, signing, waving, and participating more naturally in daily life.

Those small moments matter.

Because functional use is the goal.

They come from consistent, targeted work that gives the weaker side a real opportunity to engage and grow.

🥳 🎂 Scottie is ONE!
Scottie turned ONE today, and like many little ones in CIMT, her sessions have been a mix of tears, brief moments of calm, and short bursts of trying with each new toy. We follow her lead, keep things flexible, and lean into what motivates her most — food.

Progress doesn’t always look picture-perfect, but it is happening. And we’re proud of the work she’s doing in her own time.

Week 2 CIMT Progress with Scottie 💛

We wrapped up week two with lots of reaching and grasping practice. Even with a slow start at the beginning of her intensive, Scottie is getting more comfortable and motivated

Here she’s working on using her weaker arm to pull squigz off the window—building strength, coordination, and confidence with every repetition.

Proud of this little one and excited for her week 3 wins already. ✨

Scottie’s Journey:

Day 1 of our newest MCIMT intensive! 💪
