Kudos to the Minnesota Academy of PAs for introducing to the PA profession as part of their “Learn First Aid with MAPA” event. In addition to having their questions answered about what PAs do and how to become a PA, participants made age-appropriate first aid kits, learned how to identify emergencies and get help, and participated in clinical skills demonstrations. The Girl Scouts earned their First Aid badge and received a fun Future PA patch.

Kudos to University of Toledo , including Sydney Smith (pictured), Kendall Morse, Annabelle Yingling & Anna Zeitzheim, and the Community of Hope Free Health Clinic, led by Paul Chandler. Through the grant, the team increased to judgment-free screening, treatment, and education in a medically-underserved area. PA students benefited from this service-learning opportunity, which include multidisciplinary collaboration and training in STI test administration, patient counseling, and appropriate follow-up for positive results.
