Happy Birthday to our beautiful sound bath instructor, Kasey 🤍✨

I met Kasey in 2022 when we were neighbors, and after only about a week of knowing her, I injured my back. Without hesitation, she showed up for me in the most selfless ways — walking my dog, helping with my baby, and bringing me food. That’s just who she is. One of the most caring, genuine, grounded, and fun people to be around, with the absolute best sense of humor.

So when she asked me what I thought about adding sound baths to Sea Island Wellness, my answer was immediately HECK YES. Any excuse to spend more time with her, I’d take. ✨

Since then, it has organically grown into one of our most loved offerings. Our clients leave feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, restored, and truly cared for. We definitely hit the friendship/business lottery with this one. 💫

Known for her intuitive and calming presence, Kasey offers group sound baths, one-on-one sessions, and private events that welcome both beginners and experienced meditators alike. Outside of her work with sound, you can usually find her tending to her ever-growing plant collection, illustrating beautiful creations (she's an amazing artist), traveling, or soaking in the peaceful energy of Folly Beach🌿🌊

One thing that’s shifted since having my daughter is my own yoga practice. It’s no longer a daily ritual—it’s something I have to intentionally make space for. But when I do… when I follow the feel-good movement, breathe deeply, and let creativity lead—it feels so damn good. Like coming home to myself.

There’s something powerful about remembering who you were before motherhood, and honoring who you’ve become because of it.

I’m so excited to visit New England next week and return to my roots in hot power vinyasa—the practice that shaped me, grounded me, and introduced me to the most incredible community. Valentine’s Day is about more than romance — it’s about the energy of the heart.

In yoga, Anahata (the heart chakra) is the center of love, compassion, and connection. When it’s open, we feel peace, joy, and harmony.

Psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross said there are only two emotions: love and fear.
All positive emotions stem from love. All negative emotions stem from fear. And we can’t experience both at the same time — when we’re in fear, we’re not in love.
Cellular biologist Bruce Lipton explains that stress shifts the body into fight-or-flight, shutting down digestion and immunity. But when we operate from love, the body moves into harmony — open, flowing, and functioning optimally. We cannot be in fear and in harmony at the same time. It’s one or the other.

Love isn’t just a feeling — it’s a physiological state. And it might be the most powerful medicine we have.

This Valentine’s Day, choose love.
