Friends, this is the biggest leap of faith we have ever taken. Family is so important we will risk everything, bet the farm if you will, to spend 6 months of the year across the United States, to be with them and still care for our patients at home. Thank you so much for your grace during this stressful time. Our patients will always be a priority to us. We are determined to make this work. October is going to be the most stressful time I think I’ve ever endured. It will get easier after October. Again, thank you for your grace and patience during this month. You know how much we care about each and every one of you. That will never change. We will always have your back. We will always be your advocate.

We’re taking this show on the road🚐🛣️ 🌵

Dan is now licensed in the following states: NY, PA, SC, FL, TX, AZ, NV, CO, NM and CA!

We will be providing virtual primary care services along with weight loss/health optimization to all of our current patients as well anyone new who’d like to join our journey!

We will be back locally in NY in the Spring and will be doing primary care visits at patients homes or our new location.

To Our Patient Family,

One week from today will be our last full day in the office. If you have an appointment scheduled with Dan in October-don’t fret-he will be there.

We will begin our transition out of the office on October 1st. Office “garage sale” details to follow.

WE ARE NOT CLOSING OUR PRACTICE!!

We are going virtual for the winter months with a few trips back to NY as needed.

We will be back to NY for the Spring/Summer and will be doing a combination of home visits and visits in our new office space.

Our current patients will receive a new mailing address for the winter months and have our cell phone numbers.

We look forward to another healthcare adventure with our amazing patient family💞

Our healthcare system is so expensive and so broken. I don’t know the answer. I don’t believe socialized healthcare is the answer but something has to give. Health insurance is way too expensive and controlling.

I’m licensed in quite a few states but just added Pennsylvania. I have a fair number of PA patients that I can do home visits with. Yes, I do home visits! 😊

United Health Care, in their infinite wisdom, now requires a prior authorization for referrals.

Example one: Patient needs to see a gastroenterologist for a screening colonoscopy. I have to get prior authorization.

Example two: Patient has seen the same pulmonologist for years for COPD. Because the last visit to the pulmonologist was over 6 months ago, I have to get prior authorization for the patient to go back.

Insurance companies are getting out of hand. This is just insane.
