Should one examination result determine a young person’s opportunity to pursue higher education?
That is one of the questions raised by James Papy Kwabo in the first portion of an eight-part video series examining Liberia’s education system and the role of WASSCE in determining access to tertiary education.
With more than 51,000 students sitting the examination in 2025 and concerns surrounding the number meeting traditional admission benchmarks, the discussion raises broader questions about standards, opportunity and alternative pathways to higher education.
