⭐️Staff Spotlight Saturday⭐️

This weeks staff spotlight looks a little different compared to the rest, but it’s important to us to take a moment to acknowledge one of our staff members, Misty Miller. Misty has been with Silver Lining for a year now and has proved to be such a dedicated, strong force of nature through anything she does.
Unfortunately for us, we are going to be missing Misty for a while as she embarks on a new adventure and takes a leave from Silver Lining. Misty, we wish you the best of luck on your journeys and we’ll miss you! We can’t wait to have you back 💙

Calling all local families! We’re hosting a Trunk or Treat event with The Lyter Side Business Association and we can’t contain our excitement! This is going to be such a fun event to give back to the kiddos and families that make us love what we do.

Wear your best costume, practice your “trick or treat”, get your sweet tooth ready, and join us for a spooky fun time!🎃

We’re excited to be part of Westmont Hilltop’s Back to School Health & Human Services Fair!
Join us Monday, October 5 from 5–7 PM at Westmont Hilltop Elementary School for a fun, family-friendly evening featuring local health and human services resources, children’s activities, the Johnstown Mill Rats, Johnstown Tomahawks, a bounce house, and more!

⭐️STAFF SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY⭐️

💙This week’s Staff Spotlight is Brittni!💙

🪪Name : Brittni McKolosky

💼Position : BCBA

How long have you been with Silver Lining : 2 years

💙Why do you love what you do? : I genuinely love learning about people and helping them. I have been this way since I was a little tyke. I have elementary school report cards that literally say, “Brittni is lovely to have in class; however, she does like to talk a lot and stare at people.” Jokes on them, that is basically what I do today, and now I get paid for it.

✏️One thing you’ve learned working in ABA : love that ABA gives us a chance to truly get to know people. It can tell us what they love, what they are trying to communicate, and what helps them feel safe, understood, and successful. I believe the best work happens when we lead with curiosity, empathy, and real connection.

🏂🤗What is your favorite hobby? : Spending quality time with people - does that count as a hobby? If not, snowboarding is my answer! I also love being creative and learning new things.

👠What is a fun fact about you? : I used to watch Boy Meets World primarily to see what Topanga was wearing and then tried to recreate her outfit to wear at school the next day. She was my original style icon.

🌄What is something you have on your bucket list? : My dream is to retire in Ouray, Colorado, visit the hot springs everyday, buy and travel in an Airstream.

✨Favorite Disney movie or character? : Does Lizzy McGuire count? If not, probably Roz from Monsters, Inc. because she is a good reminder that people are not always what they seem.
