Earlier this month, Alleghenies Unlimited Care Providers had the privilege of participating in the Pennsylvania Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Innovation Showcase in Harrisburg, and we left feeling incredibly encouraged about the direction of care in Pennsylvania.
More than 90 organizations submitted proposals, and we were honored to be one of 12 providers selected to share an innovative VBP model with state leaders, Community HealthChoices Managed Care Organizations, and national partners.
While being selected was an exciting opportunity for our organization, what stood out most was the bigger picture. We had the opportunity to hear from incredible providers across Pennsylvania who are finding innovative ways to improve health, independence, and quality of life for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
It was a powerful reminder of what can happen when providers, managed care organizations, state leaders, and community partners come together around a shared goal: better outcomes and better lives for the people we serve.
We are incredibly grateful to the Pennsylvania Office of Long-Term Living, the National MLTSSA, the CHC-MCOs, and everyone who made this opportunity possible. We are equally grateful to have shared the room with so many passionate and innovative organizations doing meaningful work across Pennsylvania.
This is an exciting step in the right direction for Pennsylvania, and we feel fortunate to have been a part of the conversation. π
