🇺🇸 A Gentle Reminder This Fourth of July
While many people are celebrating with fireworks, cookouts, and time with family, today can feel very different for others.
For veterans, first responders, survivors of trauma, and many living with PTSD, the loud explosions, flashing lights, and unpredictability of fireworks can trigger anxiety, panic, or painful memories.
If today feels overwhelming, know this:🤍 It’s okay to step away from the noise.🤍 It’s okay to protect your peace.🤍 It’s okay to celebrate—or not celebrate—in the way that feels safest for you.
If someone you care about seems anxious or withdrawn today, a little understanding can go a long way. Compassion is one of the greatest gifts we can offer.
This Independence Day, let’s remember that freedom also means creating space for healing.
Take care of yourself. Be gentle with others. And if you’re struggling, know that you don’t have to carry it alone.
