Nothing says summer like a day by the pool, but it only takes a moment for an accident to happen. Drowning is often silent and can occur in just seconds—even in shallow water.

Before your next pool day, remember these important safety tips:
✅ Always supervise children around water
✅ Use proper fencing and secure pool access
✅ Make sure non-swimmers wear life jackets when appropriate
✅ Teach children basic water safety skills
✅ Take frequent breaks and stay hydrated
✅ Protect little ones from the summer sun with sunscreen, hats, and shade

☀️🌡️ Summer fun is here, but so is the summer heat!

Children can become overheated much faster than adults, especially during outdoor play, sports, and family activities. A few simple precautions can help keep your little ones safe, healthy, and enjoying everything summer has to offer.

💧 Encourage frequent water breaks
🌳 Take breaks in the shade
👕 Dress children in lightweight, light-colored clothing
🧴 Apply sunscreen before heading outside
🚗 Never leave a child unattended in a vehicle—even for a minute

Watch for signs of heat-related illness, including:
⚠️ Dizziness
⚠️ Headache
⚠️ Nausea
⚠️ Excessive fatigue
⚠️ Rapid heartbeat

If your child develops symptoms of heat illness, move them to a cool area, encourage fluids, and seek medical attention if symptoms are severe or do not improve.

Summer is here, and that means more time outside making memories, exploring, and having fun in the sun—just like Harper! 💕🌞

Did you know that sunburns in childhood can increase the risk of skin damage later in life? That’s why taking a few simple precautions can make a big difference.

✅ Apply sunscreen (SPF 30+) before heading outdoors
✅ Reapply every 2 hours, especially after swimming or sweating
✅ Wear sunglasses and protective clothing when possible
✅ Seek shade during the hottest part of the day (10 AM–4 PM)
✅ Keep babies younger than 6 months out of direct sunlight

A little sun safety today helps protect healthy skin for years to come.
