It’s been a busy week at Heart of a Daughter. Today we were a Vendor at the Encompass’s Annual Stroke Celebration for those who graduated from their Rehab. All the vendors brought prizes for their Bingo and got to talk about the services we offer in the community. It was a well done event with a great turnout!

Here is a conversation I had with my dear friend Cherie Vanoy Clough who is a local Medicare Advisor about a real situation I encountered as my grandmother’s POA handling her Part D insurance. If you are a TRICARE recipient make sure you know all the ins and outs and always look to trusted advisors or advocates who can walk you through the right way to handle things. None of us want to pay unnecessary bills.

Here is a video of my father in laws ADA addition we added to our home. Being ADA compliant can be a tax write off for those who need the accommodations. It was also important for us to be able to make sure that Bud could age in place with us. As a Geriatric Care Manager I’m grateful to be able to help one of our own loved ones at home!

Heart of a Daughter is at the Warrior Canvas Veteran’s Exhibition today, and boy it’s a packed house of all types of Vendors. The event will be going on till 4:00 pm today!

Yesterday was a special day, I was invited to speak on some of the Memories of when Everlan opened on March 18th of 2020. Such a crazy week in the lives of so many. Six years later they had a ribbon cutting since all of it was cancelled when the world shut down. Got a picture with three of the ladies who originally moved in as Charter members along with Ava the Executive Director who started this journey with me when it opened.
