Long Post Alert 🚨 !! I have the utmost respect for our staff, most have stood beside me for 5+ years, but honestly, tenure isn't what matters most, their hearts do. Their kindness, loyalty, patience, & the way they care for our patients every single day is what makes this office special.
This merge has been one of the more stressful seasons for the Brown Institute. Today alone included 4 surgical cases, 3 telemedicine appointments & 10 in-office appointments & I won't get home until maybe 10p just to start again at 4:00am tomorrow. Add that to moving an office which feels a lot like moving your home, except you can't take vacations days to manage it. This
team still shows up, smiling,
welcoming patients, answering calls, calming nerves, & making this place feel like home while doing all they can to keep ME running on time even if it means taking time away from my family to do all the work behind scenes. I know change can create uncertainty & anxiety for everyone, but when I witness "mean girl" comments directed toward my staff because they're tasked with making my office run the way we see fit, I can't stay silent anymore. Every woman in this office is someone's mom, someone's safe place, someone sacrificing time away from her own family to help care for yours; including my wife. To the 99.5% of patients who have supported us through every transition, change, schedule update, packed box D, & chaotic moment...thank you.
Truly. Your kindness & grace matters more than you know.
For the very few who can't manage to be kind or quiet, & choose to be rude, demanding & bring my staff to tears, including my wife, please remember: disrespect toward my staff hurts me deeply & directly impacts my ability to provide you care because reliable, hardworking, compassionate people are rare, & this team gives their all every single day. Even if there's a new face (to you), kindness costs nothing. 11 years later, we still stand firmly by the Golden Rule: treat people the way you’d want to be treated. I watch my staff live that out daily, & hope 100% of our patients will do the same. 💜 🫶🏾✌🏾🤗💜 ~One Love ~
