It's that time of year again!

Summer ending means back-to-school is in session. We want to remind you to take this time to get ahead and prepare.

This can be done simply by getting school supplies early or making sure you and your family know how to stay healthy this time of year!

Master Handwashing: Teach proper handwashing with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds before eating and after using the restroom.

Cough/Sneeze Etiquette: Practice "vampire coughing" by coughing into a tissue or the inside of your elbow rather than your hands.

Establish Sleep Routines: School-age children require 9–12 hours of sleep, while teens need 8–10 hours. Gradually shift bedtimes and wake-up times to adjust to the school schedule.

These are just a few tips on how to get back into the swing of the school year!

A community gathering to honor and remember loved ones lost to overdose, to celebrate survivors, and to raise awareness of the ongoing overdose crisis on International Overdose Awareness Day.

Bring signs or supplies to make a sign (some sign supplies provided).

August 31st, 2026 from 6-8 pm

Free naloxone, fentanyl test strips, and other important resources will be available!

We’re happy to share that Loaves & Fishes will be at our Paterson building on Thursday, August 27, from 3:30–5:30 PM, providing free food to our community members.
