only children remember—
how to greet the morning
like it personally arrived for them.

To run barefoot toward wonder,
to laugh before permission,
to collect sunsets and bugs and bruises
like treasures instead of inconveniences.

Somewhere along the years
we traded sticky fingers for schedules,
daydreams for deadlines,
magic for practicality.

But the soul never stops asking
to be amazed again.

So dance in the kitchen
while the coffee brews.
Take the long way home
just to watch the sky blush pink.
Ask questions with bright eyes.
Sing loudly to songs you forgot you loved.

Life was never meant
to be endured quietly.
It was meant to be opened
like a birthday gift—
messily, eagerly,
with childish enthusiasm
and a heart that still believes
there is something beautiful
waiting around every corner.
