What an article!

A big congratulations and thank you to for his investigative piece in on the realities people frequently face when insurance companies authorize care for eating disorders.

When Eli reached out to our team more than a year ago about this story, we were able to share some of the challenges we've encountered as providers seeking authorization across all levels of care for people with eating disorders, as well as the difficult situations many of our patients have faced.

The reality is that mental healthcare is healthcare. Eating disorders can be highly lethal illnesses, and there are far too many factors working against insured individuals and their treatment teams when it comes to accessing early, appropriate, and adequate support.

We hope this piece sparks meaningful change and helps create a better environment for individuals affected by eating disorders and the providers working tirelessly to care for them.
