Cassi Clocked-in vs. Clocked-out➡️➡️➡️

If you have been to our new office you’ve likely been greeted by the newest member of our team, Cassi! Cassi joined our team as our new receptionist back in June and we could not be happier having her as a part of the Alpine Health and Wellness family. Not only do we love her warm approach to all of our patients, but we also love her passion for all things functional wellness,
Peptides and longevity!

When she’s not answering our phones or greeting patients Cassi enjoys spending time doing pretty much anything outdoors, golfing, fishing, hiking, you name it! She is also a mom to two boys, and absolutely loves lifting heavy!💪🏼 we are so blessed to have found Cassi! Help us give her a warm welcome to our team!

1. Building and protecting muscle
2. Optimizing Hormones
3. Knowing their Numbers

As a functional medicine provider at Alpine Health and Wellness, I talk to women all day long about health and longevity, and if I could stress 3 things for women to prioritize for their health after age 40 they would be these, and here’s why…..

1. BUILD & PROTECT MUSCLE

Strength train 2–4x/week and prioritize adequate protein.

Why it’s important:
Muscle naturally becomes harder to maintain as we age. Protecting it helps support metabolism, insulin sensitivity, bone strength, balance, mobility, and long-term independence.

2. OPTIMIZE YOUR HORMONES

Pay attention to changes in your cycle, sleep, mood, energy, libido, body composition, and overall well-being—not just whether your labs fall within a “normal” range.

Why it’s important:
Hormonal changes during perimenopause can affect everything from sleep and muscle mass to bone and cardiovascular health. Identifying changes early allows for an individualized approach to treatment and symptom management.

3. KNOW YOUR NUMBERS & PRIORITIZE PREVENTION

Stay on top of blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose/A1C, recommended cancer screenings, and bone health based on your individual risk.

Why it’s important:
Your 40s are an important window for prevention. Understanding your risk factors now can help reduce your future risk of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, and other age-related health concerns.

There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding STEM CELLS in the regenerative medicine space.

Some promise to “reverse aging,” heal injuries overnight, or fix everything with a single treatment.

At Alpine Health & Wellness, we believe the conversation should look a little different.

Regenerative medicine isn’t magic—and it isn’t one-size-fits-all.

What matters is understanding your body, your goals, your health history, and which therapies actually make sense for you.

Our approach starts with thoughtful evaluation and a personalized plan—not a sales pitch.

Depending on your individual needs, regenerative and restorative therapies may be used to support your body’s natural healing, recovery, function, and overall wellness as part of a larger treatment strategy.

No miracle promises.
No trendy treatment just because everyone is talking about it.
No “one treatment fixes everything.”

Just evidence-informed care, realistic expectations, and experienced medical guidance.

Because the goal isn’t to chase the latest wellness trend.

It’s to help you understand your options and build a plan that actually makes sense for you.

Regenerative medicine. Without the hype.

3 PEPTIDES TO KNOW ABOUT IN YOUR MIDLIFE ERA

Midlife can bring changes in energy, metabolism, body composition, muscle and recovery—and sometimes the things that worked in your 20s and 30s just don’t work quite the same anymore.

Peptides are one area being explored as part of a more personalized approach to supporting women through this stage of life.

Here are 3 peptides getting attention in the midlife conversation:

MOTS-C | Metabolism + Energy

MOTS-C is a mitochondrial-derived peptide being researched for its role in cellular energy and metabolic function. In midlife, it may be of interest for women focused on maintaining energy, metabolic health and muscle as they age.

BPC-157 | Recovery + Repair

BPC-157 is an investigational peptide studied primarily in preclinical research for its potential role in tissue repair, healing and inflammatory pathways. For active women in midlife, supporting recovery can become an increasingly important part of maintaining strength and mobility.

TESAMORELIN | Body Composition

Tesamorelin stimulates the body’s natural growth hormone pathway and can influence visceral fat and body composition. While FDA-approved specifically for reducing excess abdominal fat in adults, its mechanism has generated interest in conversations around metabolic and body-composition changes during midlife.

The takeaway?

Midlife wellness isn’t about finding one “magic” peptide. It’s about looking at the entire picture—hormones, muscle, metabolism, nutrition, sleep, stress and recovery—and determining which tools actually make sense for you.

At Alpine Health & Wellness, we believe peptide therapy should be personalized, intentional and medically guided.

Midlife isn’t a decline—it’s a new phase that may require a new strategy.

Educational content only. Some peptide therapies discussed are investigational or may be used outside FDA-approved indications. Individual risks, benefits and appropriateness should be discussed with a qualified healthcare provider.

Preventative care isn’t just for your health—it can apply to aesthetics, too.

At Alpine Health & Wellness, so much of what we do is centered around prevention, optimization, and being proactive rather than reactive. We don’t believe you have to wait until something becomes a bigger concern before taking steps to care for yourself—and we bring that same philosophy into our aesthetic treatments.

That’s where preventative Botox comes in.

Botox isn’t only about treating lines that are already deeply established. With thoughtful placement and conservative dosing, neurotoxin treatments can be used to soften repetitive muscle movement that contributes to expression lines becoming more noticeable over time.

And preventative doesn’t mean starting as young as possible or using more product. In fact, it can mean quite the opposite: treating only when there’s a reason to, using the lowest appropriate dose, and keeping your results natural.

Our goal at Alpine has never been to change the way you look. We want aesthetics to complement the bigger picture of what we do—helping our patients feel confident, healthy, and well cared for from the inside out.

Prevent when appropriate. Treat with intention. Keep it natural. 🤍

Wondering if preventative Botox makes sense for you? Come see us for a consultation and we’ll help you decide whether it’s time—or whether waiting is the better choice.

PEPTIDES ARE BACK IN THE NEWS — HERE’S WHY.

Peptide therapy has grown rapidly over the last several years, but access, regulation, and quality have also become major parts of the conversation.

Recently, an FDA advisory committee reviewed several commonly discussed peptides for potential inclusion on the 503A Bulks List — a list that can allow certain substances to be used by qualifying compounding pharmacies.

Among the peptides reviewed were:

BPC-157 • KPV • TB-500 • MOTS-C • DSIP • Semax • Epitalon

Why is this important?

The committee recommended adding several of the reviewed peptides to the 503A Bulks List. This could represent an important shift in how certain peptide therapies are regulated and potentially accessed through licensed compounding pharmacies.

But there is an important distinction:

This does NOT mean these peptides suddenly became FDA-approved medications.

The advisory committee makes recommendations to the FDA, and additional regulatory steps are still required. Research regarding the safety and effectiveness of many of these peptides also remains limited.

What we think patients should take away from the conversation is this:

Peptide therapy is evolving.

Interest is growing.
Research is expanding.
Regulators are taking a closer look.
And the conversation around appropriate medical access is continuing to change.

It also reinforces something we talk about often at Alpine Health & Wellness: where your peptides come from and how they are prescribed matters.

Peptides shouldn’t be treated like supplements you simply order online because you heard about them on social media. When peptide therapy is considered, we believe it should involve a qualified medical provider, an individualized discussion of risks and potential benefits, appropriate sourcing, and ongoing monitoring.
