☀️ Suncreen myths, debunked! ☀️
Let’s clear up some of the most common sunscreen misconceptions we hear. 💛
🚫 MYTH: “Once I get a base tan, I won’t need sunscreen anymore.” A tan is your skin’s response to damage, not protection! A base tan provides a sun protection factor (SPF) of only 3 to 4 — far below the SPF 30+ dermatologists recommend. There’s no such thing as a “safe” tan. ☁️
🚫 MYTH: “My foundation has SPF — that’s enough.” Not quite! 💄 To get the SPF listed on your foundation, you’d need to apply about 6-7 times the amount most people actually wear. Foundation should be a bonus layer, not your main line of defense. Always apply a dedicated sunscreen underneath.
🚫 MYTH: “Wearing SPF leads to Vitamin D deficiency.” Good news — research shows that regular sunscreen use does NOT cause Vitamin D deficiency! 😊 Everyday incidental sun exposure, plus diet and supplements, keeps your levels in a healthy range without the skin damage.
✨ The bottom line: daily, broad-spectrum SPF 30+ is one of the best things you can do for your skin’s health and appearance. Reapply every 2 hours when you’re outdoors! ✨
🎉 And great news — our sunscreen BOGO 50% OFF is still in effect until May 31st! Stock up before it’s gone. ⏰
