Ladies, let’s talk laundry 👙

How often should we wash our bras? The rule of thumb: every 2 to 3 wears.

Bras sit right on our skin and collect sweat, oils, and dead skin cells. Washing them regularly keeps them fresh and helps them last longer.

Pro tip: Hand-wash or toss them in a lingerie bag on gentle cycle to protect the fabric and shape!

Hit the gym and used the machine for my core workout. Felt good to stay consistent and get moving today.

Slow progress is still progress. Who else got their workout in?

Steel-Cut Oats Fufu: A Healthy, Fiber-Rich Swallow*

Using steel-cut whole-grain oats for fufu is an excellent choice! It’s a healthy, fiber-rich alternative to traditional starchy swallows like cassava (garri) or yam.

Why it works so well:*
High nutrition & great texture*: Steel-cut oats are a whole food packed with protein, fiber, and iron. They help with weight management by keeping you full longer.
- *Heart-healthy*: The soluble fiber, beta-glucan, helps lower cholesterol.
Lower glycemic index*: Less processed than instant oats, so they’re better for blood sugar control.

How I make it:*
Because steel-cut oats are chopped, not rolled, prep is key for a smooth, stretchy fufu:

1. *Blend thoroughly*: I measure 2 cups of dry steel-cut oats with 1 cup of water and blend until completely smooth and liquid.
2. *Cook it*: Pour the mixture into a pot and cook on the stove, stirring continuously until it thickens and pulls together like fufu. *If it gets too thick while cooking, keep adding small amounts of hot water and stir until it’s smooth and well cooked.*

You _must_ blend the dry oats into a fine flour or smooth liquid first. Otherwise you’ll end up with a grainy texture.

Men build houses, but marriages are built by women.

“The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish one tears it down with her own hands.” — Proverbs 14:1, NIV

A wise woman uses wisdom, communication, and emotional intelligence to create a nurturing home environment. That’s how a house becomes a marriage.

Want to eat healthier or manage diabetes? Focus on complex carbohydrates and plant-based foods! 🥗

Whole foods like lentils, beans, and plantains provide sustained energy without drastic blood sugar spikes.

Why it works:

*Complex Carbs vs. Simple Carbs*
Complex carbs — beans, lentils, whole grains, and vegetables — are rich in fiber. Fiber slows digestion and helps prevent blood sugar spikes.

*Plant-Based Benefits*
A diet rich in plant-based foods is often recommended for managing Type 2 diabetes. It can help improve insulin sensitivity and reduce unhealthy fat intake.

*Nutrient-Dense*
These foods provide essential vitamins and minerals without added sugars.

Talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian to see what approach is right for you.
