"It wasn't publish or perish—it was publish to have a life worth living." 🎙️📚
This week's episode of Unboxed is an unfiltered masterclass in data, desire, and survival. Wes and Ace sit down with criminologist and professor Dr. Chris Conner () to unbox the realities of q***r cybercrime and the "Scammer's Playbook." Chris breaks down exactly how dating apps are being used globally for sextortion and digital law enforcement entrapment, and shares a wild personal story about how he completely shut down a blackmailer.
But we don't just stop at the research. Chris gets incredibly vulnerable about his journey escaping a toxic academic institution, surviving a severe assault, and reclaiming his power through writing. This conversation is funny, high-speed, and deeply academic.

"The cool s**t in life doesn’t happen until you let yourself do cool s**t." 🎛️✨

This week, Wes and Ace are joined by the absolute definition of a musical act, Adam (aka ). We are taking a fun trip down memory lane that goes from jumping rope for a second-grade boombox to a wild high school alibi that ended with a giant "ranch paw" grabbing THAT ass at a hidden gay bar in Texas.

Adam opens up about the six years his brain spent "locked in a bunker" during priest seminary training, how he broke free to find his authentic sound, and why he’s on a mission to bring back the raw, unfiltered energy of the q***r underground.

Grab a drink, pull up, and get ready to be schooled on why ABBA is definitely not disco. 🎙️❤️

This week, Wes and Ace sit down with one of our absolute favorite humans and a beacon of Kansas City advocacy, Eric. In a raw, wide-ranging talk that balances deep laughs with heavy-hitting truths, we are unboxing what real solidarity looks like under Trump 2.0. From the burnout of serving on local boards to the power of radical transparency in the nonprofit sector, Eric challenges us all to move past our fragility.

But more than anything, this episode focuses on empathy. Wait until you hear Eric talk about his neighborhood sidewalk chalk art, and listen to Ace share a beautiful, personal story about his late father’s resilience in small-town Kansas. Grab a plate, pull up a chair, and join the family.
