Getting to this phase of life is an important one.
It’s not about cussing or telling people off.
F*cktose intolerance is a sign that it’s time for a healthy boundary.
This big healthy feeling is a sign from your body that you have had enough. Likely awhile ago, but you’ve been ignoring it so now it’s SPICY.
Perhaps this is a pattern for you. A pattern of letting people overstep, shoving down your feelings and then boiling over. Followed by a shame spiral.
The cure for f*cktose intolerance is simple. Listen to your body. Notice it’s cues. How it tightens. When it resists. Journal and self reflect. What’s coming up and why?? Then speak up early and remember clear is kind.
** Pro-Tip! It’s hard to hear boundaries from someone all up in their feels…so take time to process yours in the privacy of your own journal so you can make the focus of your conversation about a clear boundary without emotion-laden language. **

When the body is in a triggered fight or flight state, you may fight yourself unable to stop. Your to do list gets longer and longer as you attempt to hold off impending doom.

Over time this becomes a pattern. The nervous system believes that if you just keep moving you’ll be safe.

You can’t stop. You move from one big project to the next. Even vacations are a whirlwind.

Maybe this isn’t just “who you are”. Maybe this is a pattern your nervous system has gotten locked into.

Maybe…just maybe….you could teach your body it is safe and that it can slow down.

This is the work we do in one on ones using somatic experiencing techniques.

Slow Flow Breathwork is a gentle yet powerful practice that calms the stress response and restores balance to the body and mind. Guided by beautiful music and slow steady breathing patterns, you’ll move into a parasympathetic state — the body’s natural rest-and-digest mode. As the breath slows, thoughts still, anxiety softens, the mind grows quiet, and you feel safe. Experience a profound sense of peace, release of muscle tension and stored emotions.

Slow Flow Breathwork is great for people new to their healing journey, those who are grieving or are carrying unprocessed emotions. Slow Flow is a nurturing path into deep meditation, stress relief, and the quiet clarity that comes from fully arriving in the present moment.

This session is facilitated by Stephanie, founder of Rising Phoenix Breathwork. She is a business coach and is an experiencee as a Certified Breathwork Facilitator, Breathwork Coach and Breathwork Educator with Elemental Rhythm. She is obtaining her Somatic Experiencing Certification.

I used to call myself a “Type A Personality”. It’s who I thought I was.

My friends were always impressed with how much I could get done.

I was secretly exhausted…afraid I couldn’t stop or everything would fall apart.

I was trapped in fight or flight.

My first breathwork session flipped a switch in me i didn’t know existed.

For the first time in as long as I could remember…I felt pleasant, light and charged. I remember that the facilitator said, “this is what it feels like to be alive.” For the first three days following my first session I felt like a new person.

A version of myself I’d never met before.

As time went on, I developed a daily breathwork practice and my “personality” began to shift.

I still run fast…especially on challenging days, but now I have tools.

That’s easier said than done. Not because you are weak or undisciplined but because when the body is in fight or flight, the logic mind shuts down as survival mechanisms kick in.

The key to mastering your responses lies in having a STRONG relationship with your breath.

How you breathe affects how the body responds to stress. When you can continue to breathe into the nose and into the diaphragm in stressful situation you are hacking your stress response…telling the brain and body….

Advanced Breathwork is designed for experienced breathers ready to take their practice to new heights. Each Advanced Breathwork session has a special componet best for people with breathwork experience.

Some Advanced Breathwork sessions combining a more dynamic and intense breathing pattern with extended breath holds and a powerful, curated musical journey, this session creates the perfect environment for deep exploration and transformative breakthroughs.

Other sessions feature a special guided meditation designed to help you reprogram your subconscious mind.

It can feel discouraging when “old things” pop back up. That’s because we have a distorted idea of what healing is.

Expecting our old wounds to disappear with work is not how it works.

When we heal an old wound it doesn’t go away for good.

First we learn to spot it.

Next we learn how to transmute it.

With practice we get faster and the wound becomes more shallow and easier to repair.

After time, these old triggers barely feel like a blip on the map. Still there but it becomes something to giggle about as you notice how much it easier to move past it.

When you take a trauma informed course, you become aware of all the things that you could do that would make someone feel unsafe.

It can feel overwhelming to figure out how to accommodate a group of people while also creating a powerful experience. But the results are totally worth it. Here are some of the things we do to make sure that our sessions are safe as possible:

1. Our class descriptions are clear so you know what you are signing up for.

2. Everyone is required to sign a waiver. Breathwork is NOT safe for everyone. Never attend a breathwork session where a waiver isn’t required. It’s a sign of none or poor training.

3. We limit class size to 12 people.

4. We ask for consent.

5. There are no surprises. You know what’s going to happen session….Before, during and after.

6. We avoid touching clients unless you have asked for it and need it. 1 in four women sexually assaulted. The last thing we’d ever want to do is cause someone to feel scared, startled, or surprised with physical touch they did not want or need.

7. We don’t encourage forced screams and our classes are small. Empaths and people who have experienced trauma often struggle with being around a huge group of people screaming and releasing at the same time is jarring. For some it can feel like a barrage of psychic energy.

8. Our sessions are designed to be just right. The right amount of stimulation and release without being too much. Releasing too much energy at once can make returning to life HARD. Our facilitators are watching the room and are ready to adjust the session.

9. The circle shape makes everyone feel seen and equal. There’s no hierarchy of people. All shares are valuable. There’s no hiding in a corner. No one person is front and center. Everyone is equal, welcome, seen and safe.

10. We offer a variety of sessions. Slow Flow sessions are BEST for beginners. We have more intermediate sessions with a mix of fast and slow breathing.
