Those struggling with their mental health often convince themselves they are the only one who feels this way. The only one who is overwhelmed. The only one who cannot seem to “just get over it.” The only one whose nervous system feels stuck in survival mode.

If you have survived anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, or another mental health struggle, your story matters.

When someone who has been there says, “I understand,” it can help another person believe support is possible. Your honesty may become a bridge for someone else sitting in the same silence you once knew.

As we reach the end of Mental Health Awareness Month, we invite all of us to keep the bridge of healing and honesty wide open.

Meet Amanda Jelavich, LCSW, LSCSW.

Amanda supports clients navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, stress, substance use concerns, and relationship struggles. Her approach is collaborative and strengths-based, helping clients build on what is already within them to move forward with confidence, clarity, and hope.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reminding you that asking for support does not mean starting from scratch. Sometimes it means finding the right person to help you reconnect with your own resilience.

You’re worth it.

Recognizing the mental health impact of service, sacrifice, and loss is one way we honor the full human cost of Memorial Day.

If you or someone you love is struggling, reaching out for help can be an act of strength, not weakness. You do not have to struggle in silence.

Meet Jennifer Eick-Jakiela, LCSW, LSCSW.

Jennifer specializes in teletherapy to create a client-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach. She supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, chronic stress, trauma, and dissociation, using tools like EMDR, somatic strategies, parts work, DBT techniques, SSP, and family systems theory.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reminding you that support often begins with connection. Sometimes seeing a face and learning a name can make the first step feel a little more possible.

A “good day” does not have to mean everything is perfect.

Sometimes a good day looks like getting out of bed a little earlier. Taking a breath before reacting. Feeling safe in your body for a few moments. Asking for what you need. Letting yourself rest without guilt. Feeling connected to one person who understands.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reflecting on what helps create more good days, not just individually, but together. Mental health support can happen in families, friendships, workplaces, communities, and therapy rooms.

If good days have felt harder to find lately, therapy can help you understand what is getting in the way and what kind of support your mind and body may need next.

As we reach the end of the month, we can still promise to stay engaged. Awareness can be the first step toward making changes that support your health.
