As students headed back to school, our team hit the road! We provided nearly 4,000 vision screenings for children across Missouri in August.

Each screening is a quick moment that can make a lasting difference by helping identify vision concerns that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Earlier this week, we had the opportunity to join City of Refuge - Columbia, Missouri as they helped students from refugee families get ready to head back to school. 💙

Our team provided free vision screenings and connected with families whose children may need follow-up eye care.

We’re grateful to be part of a community working together to make sure every child starts the school year with the tools they need to learn, grow, and thrive. 👓✨

Back-to-school season is the perfect time to focus on healthy vision. 👀📚

August is Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month! The month is a reminder that clear vision plays an important role in a child’s learning, development and confidence. Because children may not realize they are not seeing clearly, regular vision screenings can help identify concerns early and connect families with the care they need.

At KidSight, we do more than provide vision screenings. We help identify potential vision concerns early and work with families to connect children with eye exams, glasses and other follow-up resources so they can see clearly and succeed in school.

Hey Poplar Bluff! 👋🏼 We’ll see you tomorrow at the library for FREE vision screenings starting at 11am. Screenings are available for children, ages 6 months and up, and they only take a few seconds.

Don't forget that KidSight MO will be at the Main Branch TOMORROW for free vision screenings.

These screenings are great for shy and young children. From the KidSight website: "KidSight uses a portable, automated vision screener that can detect common causes of childhood vision problems. The device takes a photo of the child’s eyes from three feet away and a KidSight screening technician is immediately given a “pass” or “refer” result. The child does not have to say anything and the screening only takes a few seconds."
