The company Vanguard Rehabilitation Physicians of Texas was founded by Dr. Margaret Oni in 2018. Dr. Oni is Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Board Certified in Brain Injury Medicine. Dr. Oni's outpatient PM&R clinic was established in 2019 to serve clients with disabilities in the Greater Houston community. We treat brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputee, and mus

Meet our wonderful client! She is a 21 year old female who was involved in an auto-pedestrian accident in 2023. She suffered a severe TBI. When I first met her she was in a minimally conscious state and wheelchair bound. Within 2 years with aggressive therapy, neurostimulants, and botox injections, she is now walking with a cane and able to communicate her basic needs. Her goal is to return to school and earn her Bachelors degree. It is stories like hers that drives what we do. As Physiatrists, we play an important role in the recovery of our clients. Great testimonial! Listen to one of our clients who developed bilateral hamstring muscle shortening following a debilitating medical condition. She went from being independent, ambulatory and working --> to wheelchair bound and unable to return to the job she loved. She lacked 50 degrees from full knee extension bilaterally. Dr Oni performed botox injections to her bilateral hamstrings. Within 3 months, she had improved range of motion and had improved to just 5 degrees lacking from full extension bilaterally. With therapy she progressed to ambulation with a rolling walker and had regained her independence. She resumed work, is now driving, and is able to shop independently. Her hard work and perseverance paid off! We are super excited to walk with her on her journey. Happy clinic anniversary! Being the face of a private practice is not easy. It is a grind but there are alot of wins. Today is one of them. May 1st marks 7 years that our outpatient PM&R clinic has been open serving clients in the Katy, Houston, and surrounding areas. A big thank you to our staff Ana Marrero, Johanna Lopez, and Barbara Nunn for investing so much into the practice. Without them this would not be possible. I would like to also acknowledge our clients entrusting us to oversee their care and walk with them on their recovery journey. Big update! Vanguard Rehab is now partnering with Solace to offer our clients Case Management services. Why is this so important? Case Managers can assist our disabled clients with navigating the healthcare system. This includes arranging transportation, accessing medical supplies, durable medical equipment, home health aids, housekeeping, meals, and other medical services in the community. Solace accepts most health insurances such as Medicare and PPO plans and in most cases there is a $0 copay. Call Solace today to team up with a Case Manager to assist you in your needs!

I wanted to share with you an awesome opportunity to partner with healthcare workers in Haiti. Grace Rehabilitation Hospital serves patients with disabilities in Cap Haitien, Haiti.
