☀️ Want to sneak in important skills this summer? ☀️
Start with BALANCE!

Balance builds body awareness, coordination, and strength- all while helping support the teamwork between the core, pelvic stability, and feet for everyday skills (including toileting!).

Try these fun balance activities:
✨ Walk a curb
✨ Balance on one foot
✨ Follow a line
✨ Pick up objects with your feet

Learning through play = summer win! 💛

☀️ Summer fun with a purpose☀️

At Unconstipated Kids, we love simple tools that make a big difference. This sensory scavenger hunt is one of our favorites- helping kids connect with their senses, build body awareness, and strengthen the skills that support regulation and toileting success. 💛

Save this idea for your summer days and let the exploring begin ☀️

It can be tough for children to feel motivated and try your suggestions. When you invite them in to understand the reasoning behind the things you’re working on, they might be more likely to follow through. Consider using the slide analogy to share about anatomy in a child-friendly, approachable way.

Check out our sample script:

“We want our re**um to be as straight and relaxed as possible to make it easier for p**p to come through, just like the straight slide at the playground.

If our muscles are tight or tense, that can make it harder for p**p to come through, just like the curvy slide.

When we use a stool under our feet, that helps make our re**um straight and relaxed so that p**p comes out easily. Now we are ready!”

Feeling like you’re needing more support? We offer free, 15 minute consultations and would love to guide you on your toileting journey!

💩 Do you know what your child’s p**p looks like? If you are pre-potty training, the answer is most likely yes.

If your child has been potty trained for awhile, but still struggles with p**ping, leaking, constipation, or withholding- the answer might be no!

We encourage you to open a conversation with your child about what the different types of p**p can be and what they can mean. Then, you can make a game plan together for tracking and making adjustments if needed.

Feel like you might need some extra support, or don’t know where to start? We’d love to help! Reach out for a free 15 minute consultation to find out more about our approach and offerings.

Which type does your child struggle with the most? Let us know in the comments!

Pelvic floor relaxation is an essential skill for peeing and p**ping. If your child struggles with relaxing on the toilet, they may benefit from the strategy of humming.

Give this a try and let us know how it goes! 😊
