✨ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: MEET MARY! ✨
Mary trains hard, races HYROX, and knows that recovery is just as important as the work she puts in. 💪
Over the past year, CORE has become part of her weekly routine - helping her recover, recharge, and keep doing the hard things she loves.
Here’s what Mary has to say about making recovery part of her routine… 💙👇
“In preparation for upcoming HYROX races, I started training pretty hard and consistently. My body told me quickly that I needed to be nicer to myself or it was going to break down soon! I was already training at F45 CRW and had seen everyone come and go at CORE, which is conveniently connected to the F45 studio. I wasn’t a stranger to saunas and cold plunges, but the compression and red light therapy services were intriguing and looked VERY inviting.
The sign-up process was super easy and convenient, not to mention how accommodating the entire staff is. My usual routine at CORE now is a 20-minute sauna, cold plunge, and at least 30–45 minutes of leg compression, in that order. I use the sauna time not only for breathwork, but also to stretch my muscles, meditate, and catch up on social media (haha!). The cold plunge is a necessary ‘evil’ for my entire body’s sanity. I’ll dip my entire body in for 3–5 minutes, and it helps my soreness TREMENDOUSLY, especially on long-run or heavy-cardio days. I finish with leg compression—usually with a nap! When the timer goes off, it’s usually the saddest part of my day because that means ‘my time’ is over.
The combination of all three services has become a core habit for me over the last year, and I try to fit it in at least 2–3 times per week. I occasionally use red light therapy as well on days when I have specific trouble spots like my knees, tennis elbow, or a sore back. There just aren’t enough hours in the day!
I leave CORE feeling like a new person, ready to take on the world! I highly recommend everyone try all of the services at least once or twice and see what a difference they can make for you. Trust me, your body will thank you!!
We can all do HARD things and be rewarded for it!!” 💙
