Did you know?

Tense calf muscles can cause pain further down, into the feet/heel.

Frozen Shoulder, or Adhesive Capsulitis, is quite a debilitating injury that can easily take 1 year to recover from and possibly up to 3 years, yikes!

It is most common in :

- Women 40-60 experience frozen shoulder twice as often as men

- lack of day to day movement ; sedentary lifestyle

- diabetes type I or II are more susceptible to frozen shoulder

Regular massage of the Rotator cuff muscles, pecs, deltoids, etc can help alleviate symptoms of frozen shoulder.

Being proactive about getting routine massage to address tense shoulders, stretching/exercising, and maintaining a well balanced diet can help reduce your chances of getting frozen shoulder dramatically

Did my first Corrective Exercise/Massage session today for Right hip pain with regular client

Started with 3 hip assessments :

- Trendelenburg Test : tested positive for glute medius weakness on both sides

- Thomas Test : tested positive for right re**us femoris and psoas shortened

- Piriformis Length test : tested positive for right side shortened piriformis

Did 45 minutes of massage focusing on lengthening Right re**us femoris, right psoas/illiacus, right piriformis.

Did 10 minutes of hip stretching after massage and prescribed glute medius exercise for strengthening and foam rolling for re**us femoris and piriformis and stretching for psoas/hip flexors.

Overall it was a very productive and fun session
