Can you believe we've already made it to June? This year will be over before we know.... Speaking of June, PTSD awareness is something I hold near and dear to my heart and I would like to share a little information with you all. - Rhiannon
🩶 June is PTSD Awareness Month 🩶
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. While PTSD is often associated with military service, it also impacts survivors of accidents, violence, abuse, natural disasters, and other life-changing experiences.
📊 Approximately 12 million adults in the United States experience PTSD each year.
PTSD is a real medical condition, and it is highly treatable. Unfortunately, many people struggle in silence due to stigma, fear, or lack of awareness.
This month, let's work together to:
✅ Increase understanding of PTSD
✅ Reduce stigma surrounding mental health care
✅ Encourage those who are struggling to seek support
✅ Create a more compassionate and informed community
If you or someone you love is experiencing symptoms of PTSD, know that help is available and healing is possible.
🩶 You are not alone.
