My yearly post about my favorite time of the year! I love cooler weather, football season (hook ā€˜em), pumpkins, fall drinks, changing leaves & the beginning of a new season.

Change can feel uncomfortable. It brings lots of uncertainty, grief, excitement and sometimes fear. But when we can let go of what was and embrace what is to come, thatā€™s where growth begins. You donā€™t have to have it all figured out! Letā€™s look for the beauty in new things šŸ¤Ž

All 3 of my girls are safely in school again šŸ’•

Which means I am able to get into a routine here at Front Porch Counseling! I am excited for my new hours of availability which will be:
ā€¢ Monday 10am-6pm
ā€¢ Tuesday 10am-6pm
ā€¢ Thursday 10am-6pm
(With limited 6pm sessions available for my evening people)

Back to school brings a lot of big feelingsā€¦ and not just for the kids!

So many new routines, new schedules and new expectations. All mixed with excitement and maybe some anxiety.

If youā€™re ready to get your kiddo or yourself into therapy, nowā€™s the time. Letā€™s get the school year started on the right foot and work through this transition together!

Watching them ā€œworkā€ right beside me reminds me of something I think a lot of working moms need to hear...

Our kids arenā€™t keeping score of the hours weā€™re home. Theyā€™re watching *how* we show up.

They see us caring for others.
They see us building something meaningful.
They see us working hard.
They see us making room for both our dreams and our family.

One day they probably wonā€™t remember every time I left for work. But I hope they remember that they always had a seat next to me, that they were loved deeply, and that itā€™s okay to build a life youā€™re proud of.

To every working mom carrying the weight of guilt... your children are seeing so much more than you think. šŸ¤

One more change!

Front Porch Counseling (formerly Lindsey Simon Counseling) has officially moved to a new office suite but still in the same building!

Iā€™m excited for a little more space while keeping the same warm, familiar environment youā€™ve come to know. Iā€™m hopeful for a smooth transition for everyone.

When I started Lindsey Simon Counseling, using my name felt right. As the practice has grown, Iā€™ve found myself drawn to a vision thatā€™s bigger than just me alone.

Iā€™m excited to announce that Lindsey Simon Counseling is now Front Porch Counseling.

To me, a front porch is a place of welcome. Itā€™s where conversations happen, relationships deepen, and people find a sense of belonging. Now my practice will have a name that reflects those values that remind you of home šŸ”
