Logan, on a whim…. “I think I’m going to sign up for a powerlifting meet.”

I figured if I can handle a group of girls in a single weightlifting session, I could handle two boys in one powerlifting meet…

Except the rules are different. And the sessions run totally different than WL… and *gasp* they add in pounds 🤣

There were some heavy weights being lifted today and wow. Motivating⭐️

All in all, it was a great day, ending with a 340 pull in deadlift that was a PR. 🎉

Good job, today Logan and AJ. I had a blast coaching you and learning new stuff. We will have it hammered out better before the next one!

I’LL JUST START OVER ON MONDAY…

Do you find yourself making it halfway through the week….. and you can’t hang on to your too steep calorie deficit?

Or plan your week and then throw it out the window on the weekend?

Tracking macros a few days and then “forgetting” to track others?

Trying to not eat any sugar/sweets/drinks, etc. and then having a binge fest?

YOU will benefit from having a coach on your side.

Many people try to be overly restrictive or overly rigid with their food/workout goals and end up focusing on PERFECTION instead of consistency…. And then when they “mess up” or “fall off the wagon” they say SCREWWWWW ITTTT and eat and drink their way to feeling crummy by Sunday.

And then the cycle starts all over again “ I WILL START FRESH ON MONDAY”

Are we living in Game Of Thrones eternal winter or WHAT?!

I’m over it.

I was out hiking this morning, and I just thought….WOW. So many things in our lives are just out of our control….. ummm, like the weather🙄. But…. Man. Right now I feel like that little tree (➡️ picture)…. Carrying the weight of all the things… and I just want to hide out. Feeling a lack of control in our lives can leave us feeling helpless and overwhelmed. I had to remind myself when stuff feels out of control….

I CAN control how I respond to situations.

I CAN control how I treat my body.

I CAN control the food I put on my plate and drinks I drink.

I CAN control who I let influence me …particularly on social media.

I CAN change my surroundings. (PS- I was trying to change my surroundings and did NOT get into the Half Dome lottery… for like… the fifth time…. So, excuse me while I remind myself of the next point👇🏻)

I CAN control my effort AND my attitude.

When you are determined… not much can hold you back.

In December, during a game, Sami tore her meniscus. In late December, she had surgery to repair it.

Golf season seemed like it would probably not happen this year buuuuuutttttt…..

First golf tournament back, and this girl walks away with a WIN. She shot a 92 on 18 holes.

Sami…. I am so proud of you💕
