I recently started doing research on the benefits from breast milk soap and have honestly learned so much! Coming from a mama who’s son has eczema on his arms & face this has been a miracle worker for us!
I’ve seen some people who do this make $100 off a single 2lb loaf, and unfortunately I know I couldn’t afford to keep a stock pile full for my kids as baths happen quite frequently in our house due to crazy toddlers lol. My plan is to make this affordable, and be able to help these babies and families out, I know battling with eczema is a battle field of its own and I want to help!!!
Down below you will see the prices & each benefit from each base that will be mixed with your milk. To ensure the best quality I ask for 2- 8oz bags of breast milk, as I need 1 8oz bag per pound.
Soap bases:
- Goats milk-$45 for a 2lbs loaf
Due to its lactic acid content, goat milk soap may help control or prevent acne. Lactic acid is a natural exfoliant that gently removes dead skin cells, which helps prevent acne by keeping pores clear of dirt, oil, and excess sebum. Moreover, goat milk soap is gentle and may help maintain the skin's moisture.
- Honey- $45 for a 2lbs loaf
It imparts a light, warm, sweet scent, the added sugar content helps increase the lather, and acts as a humectant.
-Shea Butter-$55 for a 2lbs loaf
Shea butter soap base has several benefits for the skin. It is an excellent moisturizer that can help soothe dry and irritated skin. Additionally, karite nut fat contains many compounds that can help to protect the skin from damage.
- Oatmeal- $45 for a 2lbs loaf
Oatmeal has natural anti-inflammatory properties and other healing elements that can help repair the skin. This is beneficial to calm enflamed skin due to exposure to the elements or certain chemicals and toxins. For those with skin conditions such as eczema, acne, rosacea or rashes, oatmeal can help soothe and treat the skin.
- Olive oil- $30 for a 2lbs loaf
Olive oil's rich antioxidants help protect skin against free radicals and promote aging. It contains also oleic acids and polyphenols that help prevent wrinkles and sagging of skin and reduce aging spots.
In addition, other benefits of olives for skin is because oil soaps are so moisturizing, using topical olive oil can restore the natural oils that our skin produces as we age, giving our faces a smoother, plumper appearance and reducing wrinkles.
- Aloe Vera- $40 for a 2lbs loaf
Naturally, antimicrobial Aloe Vera helps kill the bacteria responsible for acne breakouts, reducing pimple scars' appearance with skin lightening qualities. Deeply nourishing also helps diminish the appearance of wrinkles and other blemishes for a youthful complexion.
- Charcoal- $50 for a 2lbs loaf
Activated charcoal in soap theoretically binds to dirt and oil on the skin and helps clear out pores.
- Argan oil-$45 for a 2lbs loaf
Argan Oil is known as a natural, ultra rich, nourishing and moisturizing ingredient that contains super high levels of Vitamin E and essential fatty acids. Argan Oil provides the triple-action benefits of regenerating, hydrating and antioxidizing.
- Tea Tree oil- $45 for a 2lbs loaf
Tea tree soap can help soothe dry skin by reducing itching, swelling and irritation with its anti-inflammatory properties. These properties also make Tea Tree soap effective at combatting acne. It may also help to reduce acne scars and redness.
