Our “Jingle and Mingle” Christmas celebration was full of laughter, smiles and treats galore. Each resident received a gift and got pictures with Santa. Mrs Claus made an appearance along with a few of Santa’s head elves. We enjoyed each other’s company and the Christmas tunes. We are in the HOLIDAY SPIRIT! ⛄️♥️🎄🎅🏻🤶

Every year, we celebrate a “job well done” with a select few of our CNAs at NHCs annual CNA banquet. This year, we went to Skinny J’s to celebrate. There were games and prizes involved and they all said they had a blast.

Happy Halloween! 🎃👻
We had a costume party and everyone dressed up! The residents got their faces painted and each department decorated a pumpkin for the pumpkin contest. Dietary won with their creepy rendition of “IT” The Clown. Maintenance created Jack O. Lantern, Therapy creatively thought of the “invisible pumpkin” Housekeeping made the Hocus Pocus witches, front office made the caramel apple and Activities painted the Little Mermaid pumpkins! They all were a hit but “IT” took the cake and won a nice 1st place spot in the newsletter. We hope that you all have a happy, spooky Halloween. 🎃 👻

We had a Cinco de Mayo celebration yesterday and it was a huge hit! Our Activities Department hosted an Arm Chair Travel “Trip to Mexico” activity with the residents and staff. We served virgin margaritas, tacos and some sweet Mexican treats! The residents got a passport before the trip to add to the fun. During the event, we danced to Mexican music and played a couple of videos that took us on a tour of Mexico. These videos gave us an inside peak of some of the best places to travel to in the country. We enlightened them with some very interesting facts about the country and they all received an activity packet before “coming back to America.” We loved our trip to Mexico and can’t wait to go on many more adventures! 🇲🇽
