We asked our team: "What makes you feel cared for?"
Every answer was different. Every answer was small. That's kind of the whole point. ๐Ÿค

Sometimes the hardest part of getting healthier, changing your life, or going after something that matters is believing you have to do it alone.

Steve White learned something different on his own journey.

โ€œYou donโ€™t realize how many people actually care about you.โ€

During the Brae 100, Steve was the one putting one foot in front of the other. He had to train, make the choices, keep going when it hurt, and continue moving when the path became difficult.

But the journey was never truly solo.

There were people encouraging him, searching for him when he was lost, bringing water when he needed it, training beside him, caring for him, and simply believing he could keep going.

That experience helped shape one of the beliefs at the heart of HomeTeams:

Health is a team sport. Life is a team sport.

Your goals may belong to you, but that does not mean you have to reach them alone. Sometimes your team helps you carry something. Sometimes they give you perspective. Sometimes they simply stand beside you and cheer.

The people who care about you may already be closer than you realize.

Life is full. Appointments, school pickups, practices, meals, errands, health needs, and all the little things we do for the people we love.

And somehow, one person often ends up remembering all of it.

HomeTeams helps families bring everything into one shared calendar so the whole team can see what is happening, know where they can help, and stay connected when plans change.

Not because life needs to be perfectly organized.

Because a beautiful, full life deserves to be lived, not just managed. โค๏ธ

Here is a ritual we love for anyone who cares for others: once a day, take ten minutes that are entirely yours. Sun on your face. A friend on the phone. Coffee while it is still hot. A page of a good book.

Small, daily, and kept beats big, someday, and skipped. Every time.

What would your ten minutes be? Tell us below ๐Ÿ‘‡ and save this as your reminder.

Science just handed us the loveliest excuse to call your people. ๐Ÿ’›

Researchers at Cornell University examined data from more than 2,100 adults and found that a lifetime of warm connection, family, friends, neighbors, community, was linked to slower biological aging, measured right down at the cellular level. The study, published this past fall in Brain, Behavior and Immunity - Health, calls it cumulative social advantage. We call it a home team.

Think about what that means for the people showing up for someone right now. The friend who drives to every appointment. The cousin who calls every Sunday. The neighbor who just checks in. All that love is not only carrying someone else. It is building the health of everyone in the circle.

So here is your gentle nudge for the week: make the call, take the walk, share the meal. Your team is good medicine, and so are you.

Tag someone whose friendship keeps you young. ๐Ÿ‘‡

America is writing more hundred-year stories than ever. Pew Research Center counted about 101,000 American centenarians in 2024 and projects that number to quadruple to about 422,000 by 2054. And a 2025 study in Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology found that the presence of grandparents actively supports child development. Wisdom flows down. Joy flows up. Everyone wins.

That is the spirit behind Living Legacy in HomeTeams. While your team coordinates the everyday (appointments, visits, who brings dessert on Sunday), you can also capture the extraordinary: life stories, told in their own voice, kept for every generation to come.

How families use it:
๐ŸŽง One question a week. "How did you two meet?" is a favorite.
๐ŸŽง Record on ordinary Tuesdays. The best stories come out over tea.
๐ŸŽง Let the grandkids ask. The answers change beautifully.

Whose story would you record first? Tell us in the comments. ๐Ÿ’› Learn more at hometeams.io (link in bio).

Every strong home runs on a team, and teams come in every shape. ๐Ÿ’™

A neighbor who waters the plants and waves every morning. A sister who joins video appointments from three time zones away. A best friend who learned to cook the low-sodium version of your favorite dish, and made it delicious.

Generations United reports that more Americans than ever are living in multigenerational homes, and nearly all families surveyed say living together works well for them. We think that same team spirit lives on every street and in every kind of family.

So tell us: who is on YOUR home team, and what is the one thing they do that makes all the difference? Give them a shout-out in the comments. ๐Ÿ‘‡

We keep hearing versions of the same story from our community: the meal train that kept rolling because somebody gave everyone a real role. One neighbor became the Tuesday driver. One took groceries. One handled the group updates so nobody had to repeat the same news twelve times. A teenager mowed the lawn every Saturday without being asked twice.

Here is the part that makes us smile. All that showing up is good for the helpers too. A review published in The Gerontologist in April 2026, led by researchers at Monash University, looked across 182 studies of older adults who volunteer and help others. The findings pointed the same direction again and again: better mood, sharper thinking, more active lives, and links to living longer.

Helping is not just kind. It is healthy.

Tell us about a time your neighbors showed up for you, or you showed up for them. We would love to celebrate it.
