🚨 Downtown Kenosha Forecast for Saturday 🚨

This Saturday, downtown will be hosting:

🚴 Bike races
🛍️ Two markets
🎉 A block party

And just to make things extra exciting...

The block party is on OUR block.

We absolutely encourage you to come downtown, enjoy the festivities, support local businesses, and have a great time.

We just wouldn't recommend planning on being in and out in a jiffy.

If you need prescriptions this weekend, you may want to consider stopping by before Saturday.

Because on Saturday:

🚗 Parking spots will be considered a luxury item.
🚗 "I'm just running in quick" will become a work of fiction.
🚗 Your GPS may simply give up and wish you good luck.
🚗 Someone will park, walk three blocks, and immediately tell us about it.

As previously announced, any complaints regarding:

• "There's nowhere to park!"
• "Why is it so busy?"
• "I had to park all the way over there!"
• "Nobody warned me!"

will be accepted as a voluntary $1 donation to the Modern Apothecary Staff Field Trip Fund.

Way Back Wednesday 🍼🌿

This vintage Siebert carriage has us playing detective.

At first glance, it looks like a classic mid-century baby carriage. But with a handle height of only about 32 inches, it's more likely a junior carriage from the 1940s or 1950s, a miniature version designed for children to push their dolls around while practicing for adulthood.

A few fun facts:

• Siebert Manufacturing was a Wisconsin company known for producing quality baby carriages during the mid-20th century.
• Junior carriages were often styled just like the real thing, complete with chrome frames, fabric bodies, and spoked wheels.
• Unlike today's toys, this one was apparently built to survive several generations, a few moves, and some questionable storage decisions.
• It's estimated to be around 70 to 80 years old.
• It now enjoys a peaceful retirement as a succulent planter.

A quick nod to whoever decided this belonged in the trash. We appreciate your contribution to our decorating budget. 😆

The real question: Who had one of these growing up? Or better yet, who pushed one around the neighborhood pretending their doll was on an important errand?
