Today, we honor the First Peoples of the land we call home. Washington State is the ancestral homeland of 29 federally recognized tribes, including the Coast Salish peoples, the Yakama, Colville, Makah, Quinault, Spokane, Lummi, Muckleshoot, Puyallup, Suquamish, and Tulalip, among many others, who have stewarded these lands and waters since time immemorial.

We are grateful to live, work, and gather on these homelands. Today and every day, we commit to learning, listening, and supporting Native communities.
