Menominee Early Childhood Services - Head Start/Early Head Start students visited the College of Menominee Nation's Aquaponics facility last week through a partnership between Head Start, CMN's Department of Continuing Ed, and the Division of Extension's CDC HOP grant. Students learned about another way to grow food as a part of the Farm to ECE (Early Childhood Education) initiative and planted their own seeds to take back to their classrooms.

🌻In September, Head Start 4-year-olds visited CMN for a fun and hands-on field trip! They rotated through learning stations, harvesting sunflower heads they planted in the spring, making sunflower crafts, hearing stories, collecting seeds, playing bingo, and exploring the farmers’ market with a scavenger hunt. A great day of learning and laughter! 🌻🎨🧺
