"COMING HOME TO PRACTICE"
- After a little Sabbatical for rest, reflection, renewal, & Creativity I'm finding my way back to the mat once again.
Returning to yoga feels like returning home to myself. Every Pause has a purpose, and this one has opened new space for growth, softness, and deeper intention ⭐️
I'm also GRATEFUL to share that we've found a temporary space for our practice - a gentle landing place at 1025 WHITE st, as we move into a new phase and continue the journey toward our future home.
It feels like the perfect bridge between what was and what's yet to come.
I'm excited to reconnect, to guide, to move, and to breath with you again.

A temazcal is a traditional Mesoamerican steam bath ceremony used for healing, purification, and spiritual growth. Held in a dome-shaped structure, participants sit around heated volcanic stones doused with herb-infused water, creating steam.

Guided by a shaman, the ritual includes meditation and chanting to encourage physical relaxation, mental clarity, and a deeper connection to nature and ancient traditions.

Our temazcal at Mizata is named Útero to symbolize rebirth and renewal. “Útero,” meaning “womb” in Spanish, reflects the nurturing nature of the temazcal experience. Participants cleanse, heal, and emerge renewed, much like a rebirth. After the purifying heat, they exit through a water canal, symbolizing the transition from the warmth of the womb to the refreshing embrace of new life.
