Hi! My name is Stephanie, and I have been taking care of people's babies and kids for a LONG time. I started helping out with my mom's friends' kids when I was still just a kid, and started babysitting for extra money when I was 12. I have been a professional nanny and worked in child care periodically for the majority of my life. I am 29 years old, old enough to be responsible and attentive the way a teenager isn't always capable of. I have references galore. I have worked with children of all ages and stages, from infant to pr***en, special needs to gifted. My favorite age group is infant to preschool. Everything is so fresh for them and they learn so fast, I find it so fascinating to be a part of their development. I am a student of nursing at FKCC, I have first aid skills and a cool head in the case, heaven forbid, of an emergency. I have worked with many families, and have learned a lot from them, so I can also answer questions you may have about odd and end things like teething, napping, learning, baby signs, etc. I studied psychology and human growth and development and find children's development to be really interesting and can incorporate learning and developmental stages into the care I provide. I won't just come over and plop your kid in front of the television, we'll play, interact, go for walks, sing, talk and laugh. We can go for "field trips" to the wildlife center, the dolphin research center, mallory square, the library and parks. For older kids I have arts and crafts projects we can work on and games we can play. My hours are flexible. I am currently caring for a toddler a few days a week a few hours a day, and I'll be working clinicals for school starting in January, but I find that with the right amount of effort almost any schedule can be accommodated.
I look forward to hearing from you!
My rates are negotiable, but not cheap. I provide quality care at a reasonable price. Price varies depending on ages, number of children and developmental needs.
