Oh yeah! This flow rocked and felt amazing and open afterwards! Nothing like getting a quick full body workout in when you’re away from home!

Doesn’t take much to move and get the heart rate up! This flow also helps with getting full fascia moving and gliding! A recipe for overall good movement. The great thing about this flow, is that you can go light and move slow with a calm breath, or go heavier, with speed for a totally different effect.

Whichever way you go, is up to you and how you currently move. Stiff and achy? Go slow and light. Seasoned gym vet? Challenge it up with some heavier weight! The key is, choosing a weight you can still breathe and flow in. Holding your breath? Go lighter! Ultimately, have fun!

Pitching is a full body motion with a ton of intensity! So when a high caliber high school or college pitcher comes in, we work the entire body.

I not only work to open up restricted areas and activate what’s lacking, but also integrate movement, control, and end-range stability work to help pitchers fully own their mobility.

The goal isn’t just to create more range for velocity, but to build the awareness, control, and confidence needed to make their movement and routines truly their own

Why Vibration is Superior

Everything in the body vibrates.

From the firing of the nervous system, to the rhythm of the heartbeat, breathing patterns, sound frequencies, and even the microscopic movement between tissues, vibration is constantly occurring within us. In fact, vibration is such a powerful stimulus that I’ll even prescribe something as simple as humming to certain clients because of the effect vibration can have on the nervous system and the body as a whole.

This is also one of the reasons I utilize vibration therapy so heavily in my sessions.
Many people are familiar with percussion tools like massage guns, which work by rapidly “hammering” or striking the tissue. While these tools can absolutely have benefits, they are very different from high-speed vibration therapy.

Most massage guns typically operate around 2,700–3,000 RPM (revolutions per minute). The Rapid Release tool, on the other hand, ranges from approximately 6,000–9,000 RPM, creating a much faster and smoother vibrational stimulus throughout the tissue.

Rather than aggressively pounding into the body, vibration works more by creating rapid oscillations through the tissues and nervous system. This can help encourage tissues to relax, improve circulation, reduce guarding, and restore movement between layers of fascia that may no longer be gliding well together.
When fascia and soft tissues lose their ability to glide efficiently, the body often compensates with stiffness, restriction, altered movement patterns, and eventually discomfort or pain. High-frequency vibration can help “wake up” the nervous system while simultaneously helping tissues soften and move more freely.

One of the biggest differences I notice clinically is that vibration often allows the body to relax without feeling like it’s under attack. The nervous system tends to respond very differently to smooth vibration compared to aggressive percussion. For many clients, especially those already dealing with pain or heightened tension, this can make a huge difference.

This is why vibration has become such an important part of my approach. Combined with stretch therapy, breathing, activation work, and movement, it can help create an environment where the body finally feels safe enough to let go.

Rapid Release in Action!

Vibration has become one of my favorite tools because of how effectively it works alongside stretch therapy, movement, and nervous system regulation. Whether the goal is improving mobility, reducing tension, enhancing recovery, or simply helping the body move and feel better, the right approach can make a huge difference.

It’s not just the muscles and arm care that you need to take note of pitchers. The ribcage should also be addressed and can be an easy way to naturally get some more layback, range of motion and leverage for more velo!!

So now, this pitcher will have some tools, starting with breathwork before and during his arm care routine. He’s also more aware of how, when doing band routines, to position his ribs in a way as to not compensate while doing them.

All these little things will add to gains on the mound and on the field for position players. If you need help in gaining velo this summer. Schedule your intro and let’s get you out there throwing harder!!

Getting the arm overhead can be complicated for some populations. It’s important to have a good foundation to begin the motion to overhead.

The problem is, most people’s lats are overactive (the lats pull the shoulder down and rolls them forward), so does the pecs (pec major and minor). When these muscles are overactive, they will take away from some of the muscles that help bring your shoulder over your head (like the rhomboids, low trap and serratus), these help with upward rotation of the scapula and help the shoulder get to overhead.

So, working on angles to help activate these upward rotators, can help facilitate a better foundation to begin the journey to an overhead position with less compensation!

Everything Rotates in the Body

Whether it’s walking, running, or even going from sitting to standing, the body is constantly rotating.

From the subtle movement of the ribcage while you walk, to the larger rotational mechanics of the leg as it moves from external rotation before the foot lands, into internal rotation as the leg moves behind you…rotation is happening all the time.
The problem begins when certain areas become “stuck.” Once the body loses the ability to rotate and move efficiently, compensation patterns begin to develop. Over time, this lack of movement can lead to tension, discomfort, and pain somewhere along the chain.

This is why incorporating rotational movement into your day-to-day routine can be so beneficial. Improving rotation may not only enhance the way you move and perform, but could also be a major key in helping you stay out of pain.

Below I listed some videos of some rotation you can add to your routine, in between sets at the gym, or part of your warm up before activities.

The body was designed to move, adapt, and rotate efficiently. When those natural movement patterns begin to diminish, the body will often compensate somewhere else, eventually leading to stiffness, tension, and discomfort. Restoring rotation and improving the way the body moves as a whole can make a major difference not only in performance, but in everyday life as well.

If you’ve been dealing with tightness, recurring pain, or simply feel like your body isn’t moving the way it should, an intro session is a great place to start. Together, we’ll assess how your body moves, identify areas that may be contributing to compensation patterns, and create a plan tailored specifically to you and your goals.

Book your intro session today and start moving with more freedom, balance, and confidence.

Pain is rarely ever a localized issue. This one in particular, was easy to see how the left foot might be affecting the opposite shoulder. He has a collapsed arch with no control and limited dorsiflexion…why does that matter?

Well, when walking now, the foot can’t help get into extension by rolling through the forefoot and toes, so it shifts him more to his right and to the outside of the opposite foot.
This chain of events must be compensated for and makes the spine, ribs, and even shoulder, move in a way to try and balance out the system (even if it’s not in line).

So yes, a shoulder problem can be coming from all the way down at the foot. It’s one of the many things I address in office. If you need help getting out of pain, want to move better or just need the most relaxing stretch you ever had, go to my bio and book an intro session!

Not a bad idea to bring a band like this just to keep things loose on the course!

I do these before I head out to a round. I do both side and then stretch my hips. If you’re not used to this kind of activation and stretch, it’ll be enough for you and unlock some new ranges!

Hopefully, it doesn’t mess with your timing! Give it a go and see how many more yards you get!

Throwing in some PAP (post activation potentiation) in your training, can have great benefits to your overall power production! PAP basically is taking on a heavy load to prime your nervous system, recruiting higher motor units, to be able to express higher and faster amount of power and speed after.

This is key after 40. Strength and power are the first to go IF you don’t train it anymore. I’ve been able to keep both strength and power into my mid to late 40’s because of this type of training. If you’re over the age of 40 and feel like you’re starting to lose that strength and power, don’t worry, you can train it and have the explosiveness come back!!
