We Will Bloom Again
Our hearts will never be quite the same after grief.
They will carry the echoes of what we have lost, the memories, the longing, and all the love that remains.
Grief changes us in ways words cannot always explain. There will be days when sorrow feels unbearably heavy, when we miss what was, so deeply, that even breathing feels like an act of courage.
But slowly, gently, the ache will soften.
One day, almost without noticing, the light will begin to find its way through the cracks.
Morning will feel warmer. The sky brighter. A song will make us smile instead of ache. A memory will bring gratitude alongside the tears.
Our hearts may always hold the shape of what they have lost, but they will learn to beat with hope again.
And the flowers will bloom again.
Not because we have forgotten the winter, but because we have lived through it.
Tender shoots will rise from places we thought were barren. Petals will unfold where we once believed nothing could grow. Light will touch the corners of our souls that grief once covered in darkness.
There will always be a part of us that remembers those we miss, but there will also be a part that looks forward to new mornings, unexpected joy, gentle laughter, and love in new and beautiful ways.
Grief may change the landscape of our hearts, but it does not have the final word.
Winter does not last forever. The light always finds its way back.
So we will take our time, be gentle with ourselves, honour what we have lost, and cherish what remains.
And when the first flowers appear, we will reach for them.
Because even after the deepest grief, even with hearts forever changed,
we will bloom again.
