ETSU Northeast Tennessee Nurse-Family Partnership Program Nurse­-Family Partnership is a free program for women who are pregnant. Our nursing staff will monitor the mother medically, physically and emotionally.

Once enrolled you will be connected to a nurse who will provide the support, advice and information you need to have a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby, and be a great mom. MISSION

Nurse-Family Partnership positively transforms the lives of vulnerable babies, mothers, and families. VISION

A future where all children are healthy, families thrive, communities prosper, and the cycle of poverty is broken. This free and voluntary service is available in the following Northeast Tennessee counties: Carter, Sullivan, Hawkins, Hancock, Unicoi, Greene, Johnson and Washington. This program is for first time moms or moms who never a parented a child who low income and less than 28 weeks pregnant. We will answer questions related to pregnancy, body changes/image, nutrition, labor & delivery, home safety, intimate partner domestic violence, breast feeding, postpartum depression, drug addicted babies, etc. When the baby is born the nursing staff will monitor the child's stages of growth and development

📣 CHILD CARE WAITLIST UPDATE

Tennessee Department of Human Services has begun contacting families who are currently on the **Smart Steps Child Care Payment Assistance waitlist**.

An initial group of nearly 100 families has received direct communication from TDHS Child Care Services by email inviting them to apply for child care payment assistance if they are still interested and in need of support.

Families who are contacted will have **14 days to respond and submit their application**.

A few important reminders:

• Not everyone contacted will automatically qualify for assistance.
• TDHS will review eligibility before approving support.
• Once the response window closes, TDHS will move to the next group of families on the waitlist.
• If you are currently on the waitlist, keep a close eye on your email for official communication from **TDHS Child Care Services**.
• Responding quickly will help make sure your place in the review process is not delayed.

Please share this information with families who may be waiting for child care assistance.
